4 Tips for Planning your Cabo Vacation

Are you planning for a vacation in Cabo San Lucas but have no idea where to start?

Planning for a trip can be hectic, especially when it is your first time to a destination. It's hard to know how much money you will need, the activities to expect and any other necessary preparations.

Cabo San Lucas is the best vacation destination for all ages. Property in Baja will help you have a thrilling experience exploring both natural and human-made resources. There are numerous Cabo activities, attraction sites and favorable weather.

Here 4 tips to consider for planning your Cabo vacation.

1. Prior to Planning Your Cabo San Lucas Vacation

Cabo San Lucas is an area in Mexico like no other! Choosing the types of activities to do and how much money you anticipate spending are a few key factors to consider when planning your trip to Cabo. Determine the type of place to stay best fits your interests, such as a private beachfront vacation rental or a bustling big resort. Set a budget for the expenses you anticipate on spending. Be sure to budget for meals, accommodations, activities, and emergencies.

The best time to visit Cabo San Lucas is from October to July. The winter months have absolutely the best weather with NO winter storms. Shorts, t-shirts, flip flops, sun and sand are all you will need!

Do note, August through early October is considered the middle of hurricane season where you will experience rain and humidity.

Vacation should be fun, so let us help you plan accordingly!

2. Explore Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo and the Corridor

Cabo was once an old fishing village with dirt roads. Now, this village is a booming mini city for all to enjoy. The location of this magical city is at the tip of the Baja peninsula, split by two seas. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains with desert views everywhere you look. Cabo San Lucas is where you will find many delicious restaurants all walking distance downtown.

The marina is located in the downtown area and is a great place to take a stroll to see the mega yachts. USA Today rated the nightlife in Cabo San Lucas as one of the best in Mexico. The downtown area is filled with bars, clubs and the famous Cabo Wabo.

Just 25 minutes away from Cabo San Lucas is the nearby town of San José del Cabo. This historic town is for those who love history, art and traditional cuisine. Although San José does not offer any water activities and the nightlife is small, every Thursday the town square hosts The Art Walk, where the streets shut down and local artists display their talent.

Between the two cities of San José and Cabo San Lucas lies the Corridor, an area of the highway that stretches up to 15 miles long. This area has many large resorts, world-class golf courses and amazing snorkeling beaches to explore. Santa Maria and Chileno Bay are two main snorkeling beaches that are an absolute must try!

3. Find The Best Cabo Activities

The U.S. News and the World Report travel organizations have ranked Cabo as one of the top destinations for sport fishing and golfing. If you are considering traveling to Cabo in October be sure to bring your fishing rod and sign up for the Bisbee as it is a great month for sport fishing.

Golfing in Cabo is an unbelievable experience and is a must try if you are an avid golfer. Cabo del Sol, Quivira, Diamante, and Cabo Real are some of the nearby courses, all of which offer oceanfront courses to inspire your golf game.

If you are looking to soak your feet in the ocean and relax in the sun, the beaches are definitely a great place to unwind. Medano Beach is the main attraction for tourists. This is where you can find all of the water activities you have been dreaming of trying! You can also find the famous El Arco and the unbelievable views of Land’s End.

4. Make Accommodations in Cabo

Cabo has many accommodation options suited for every budget!

For the resort traveler, the choices range from high-end luxury resorts to all-inclusive budget-friendly hotels. Cabo has over 50 resort options to choose from to fit your vacation needs.

For travelers who enjoy staying at a private vacation rental, Cabo has much to offer. Imagine staying at your own beachfront vacation rental in Cabo and still have all of the amenities of a high-end resort!

Property in Baja's Cabo vacation rental options will have you booking your trip back every year. Some of the best vacation rentals can be found in Terrasol and on the Marina.
